Coconut Grove, FL Schedule:

7 days on/ 7 days off. Flexibility for up to 4 weeks on/ 4 weeks off whilst traveling is required. This position is open to local, South Florida candidates. A wonderful family in Coconut Grove is looking for an experienced, warm, calm and engaging ROTA Nanny to join their hands on team caring for their 18month old child. The family is looking for a collaborative and teamwork approach to work directly alongside the parents and co-Nanny to create a happy, organized and harmonious environment.

Responsibilities:

Provide overnight support (monitor) Assist in all aspects of childcare, with a focus on toddler development and fostering milestones. Keep all baby-related items organized, including: Packing and organizing the diaper bag. Preparing and organizing nursing equipment. Organizing and preparing child’s food, including meal planning, meal prep and grocery orders. Packing baby and mom or dad’s belongings when leaving the house or traveling. Inventory management and organization – child’s closets, baby items etc Child laundry, keeping nursey and play areas tidy and organized, working alongside housekeeper for regular playroom deep cleaning, toy rotation etc. Assist with travel preparations for baby and parents (domestic and international, about one week per month). Maintain a nurturing, educational environment for the baby with a focus on early childhood development, including suggesting original ideas and activities (in and out of the home), as well as collaborating with parents. Manage and maintain a safe and clean environment for the child.

Requirements:

Experience with infant care and toddler development – the family hope to welcome more children in the future. Must be comfortable and have experience working collaboratively with hands on parents and a co-Nanny; knowing when to step in and step out, and deviate to other child-related tasks when parents are with child Must be highly organized and detail-oriented. Must be tech savvy for communication and toddler journal/ records Willingness to travel with the family approximately one week per month, both domestically and internationally, with one to two, 4 week trips per year internationally (travel shared between the Nannies) Must be active and “hands on” with child activities, and an excellent swimmer (whether in the pool at home, or at the beach) Must be comfortable with dogs – family has two dogs (one large, one small) Must be a US Citizen with current passport Spanish speaking, and a background in early childhood education are strongly preferred but not required. Must have a clean driving history and reliable vehicle.
