Childcare Afternoon Floater-Toddler (1-3) 3.0 3.0 out of 5 stars 4820 Cleveland Heights Boulevard, Lakeland, FL 33813 Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Afternoon Childcare Provider to create a safe, engaging, and educational environment for children in our care. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supervising and supporting the development of children, ensuring their well-being, and fostering positive relationships with both the children and their families. This role requires a compassionate individual who is passionate about childhood development and has experience working with various age groups. Duties Provide attentive care to toddlers, and young children, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times. Implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, and social development. Follow a cleaning routine throughout your day that keeps all areas sanitary including toys, furniture, classroom, eating/drinking utensils. Monitor children during indoor and outdoor activities. Manage behavior effectively using positive reinforcement techniques. Maintain a clean environment conducive to learning and play. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding children’s progress. Administer first aid when necessary and fill out incident forms. Be awareness of children’s health needs. Support learning abilities needs as required, adapting activities to accommodate individual learning styles. Foster a nurturing atmosphere that encourages curiosity, creativity, and independence among children. Experience DCF 45 hours is mandatory. Have updated School Readiness Trainings complete. Ability to pass a background check and drug test 1 yr experience in childcare setting. Have reliable transportation. Be flexible. Knowledge of childhood development principles and practices. Familiarity with toddler care techniques and infant care responsibilities. Experience in behavior management strategies to effectively guide children’s actions. First aid certification is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to obtain certification is essential. Hours are from 2 to 6. Experience working with children with special needs is a plus.
