Summer Camp Counselor River Club 880 Middle Fork Trail, Suwanee, GA 30024 Job Overview We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Camp Counselors to join our team for an exciting summer camp experience. As a Camp Counselor, you will play a pivotal role in creating a safe, engaging, and fun environment for campers. You will be responsible for leading activities, fostering friendships, and ensuring the well-being of each child in your care. This position is ideal for individuals who have a passion for working with children and possess skills in education, sports coaching, or behavior management. Responsibilities Supervise and ensure the safety of campers during all activities. Plan and lead engaging activities that promote teamwork, creativity, and physical fitness. Provide guidance and support to campers in various settings, including sports, arts and crafts, and educational programs. Foster a positive camp culture that encourages inclusivity and respect among campers. Assist with behavior management strategies to ensure a harmonious camp environment. Communicate effectively with parents regarding camper progress and any concerns that may arise. Collaborate with fellow counselors to create a cohesive team atmosphere. Participate in training sessions to enhance skills in childcare, special education techniques, and Christian counseling principles. Requirements Experience in daycare, babysitting, tutoring, or early childhood education is preferred. Skills in sports coaching or special education are highly desirable. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with children of various ages. Ability to manage group dynamics effectively while promoting positive behavior. A commitment to fostering an inclusive environment for all campers. Must be at least 17 years old or have completed high school education.
