Job Description
Mt Pisgah Preschool has both part-time and full-time positions available. We are a 4-star center and seeking individuals who want to work with children in a Christ centered environment. All positions come with benefits, M-F with working hours between 7 am -5:00 pm. NO Weekends. To become part of our team, applicants must come in person to complete an application on site. Minimum Qualifications:
18 years old, have high school diploma OR NC Early Child Care Credential OR Exception Letter (start w/in 6 months and complete w/in 18 months) Ability to perform all job responsibilities including physical duties of the job without limitations. Shall be able to read, speak, and write English. Everyone must have a warm and friendly personality, be sensitive to the feelings and needs of others, be able to relate well to children and employees, and be willing to fulfill the responsibilities in accordance with the school’s policies. Completed Application to MPLC, including work history and references Cover Letter, describing interest in and commitment to the job of providing care for children in a Christian childcare setting Two Letters of Recommendation Proof of or Copy of High School Diploma (if applicable) Copy of College Transcripts (if applicable) Copy of NC Child Care Credential or equivalency Driver’s License/DMV ID AND Social Security card OR US Passport. Responsibilities:
(Will include but not limited to) Supervise the care and education of a group of children as assigned, providing constant supervision and maintaining appropriate child to adult ratios at all times Maintain all operational requirements for a safe and healthy licensed child care center, with a developmentally appropriate Christian curriculum/program Maintain up-to-date

records as required, including implementation of policies/procedures Be able to lift, hold or carry any enrolled child who weighs up to 50 pounds and to perform physical duties of the job without limitation Be able to speak clearly, to communicate effectively including in emergency situations Be able to read at a level high enough to read prescription and medicine labels, and records Be able to communicate with parents and employees verbally and in writing at a satisfactory level to complete forms for documentation of accidents, first aid treatment given, and/or other forms required by the center, DHHS and CACFP Assist in maintaining safe and healthy classrooms and playground areas Establish and maintain positive relationships with parents and families, keeping them informed of preschool activities, staff changes, and special events Maintain confidentiality about students, families, co-workers, church members & business of Mt. Pisgah Complete required training and annual hours required and keep the file updated. Have and maintain your WORKS account.
