Responsibilities Ensure that all children depart with only authorized personnel as listed on the child’s application and are properly signed out. Be aware of ratio & when each child leaves. Greet parents/guardian & co-workers and set a positive tone for the afternoon. Assess children’s health upon leaving for home (clean faces, tyed shoes, dry diaper etc.). Enforce and assist children with handwashing (after pottying, diapering, before snack and after outside play). Follow safety procedures to ensure the safe arrival and dismissal of children. Prepare afternoon snack (follow allergy chart). Follow sanitation guidelines for cleaning after snack time. Follow cleaning schedule for the bathroom Clean and close down the classroom. Properly close down the daycare . Skills Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms Excellent communication Ability to act as mediator between children Cool-tempered, friendly, and reliable Certification in child CPR Quick learner
