Full-Time Family Assistant in Huntersville for Two School Age Children Charlotte’s Best Nanny Agency Huntersville, NC 28078 Charlottes Best Nanny Agency is assisting a family in Huntersville in finding a Full-Time Family Assistant for their family, including two school-aged children. The Family Assistant would typically be needed Monday from 12:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Tuesday through Thursday from 7:15 a.m. to 6:15 p.m., and Friday from 12:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. The Family Assistant should have the flexibility to stay later on occasion. The best Family Assistant would be warm, proactive, energetic, and experienced caring for elementary-age children and pre-teens. Additionally, the candidate should be able to easily connect with older children through play, conversation, and age-appropriate activities. During the school year, the children are in school until 3 pm each day; the family Assistant will be responsible for school pick-up Monday-Friday and drop off Tuesday-Thursday, and assist with transportation to and from appointments and extracurricular activities. When the children are not involved in after-school activities, the Family Assistant will help with homework and ensure they are prepared for the next school day. This role requires someone reliable, organized, and able to anticipate the needs of the family. Comfort with a fast-paced, active environment is essential, as the children are involved in various after-school activities and summer camps. During the summer, the assistant will plan outings, support camp drop-offs, and engage the children in outdoor play, crafts, and community adventures while limiting screen time to 30 minutes daily. The family uses a shared calendar to coordinate schedules, so strong communication and collaboration with the Mom is key. During the time the children are at school or activities, the assistant will help with the household duties listed below. Mom works from home 2 days a week; the family assistant should be comfortable with this and respect proper work-from-home boundaries.
Nanny Responsibilities Include:
Meeting the daily scheduling needs of the children Engaging with the children on an age-appropriate level Playing with the children both inside and outside the home Helping with homework Providing transportation to and from school, activities, and appointments
Household Duties Include:
Overall family calendar management, including the maintenance of the shared calendar through monitoring emails and proactively reminding the family about upcoming events The familys laundry and changing sheets weekly Weekly family meal planning and grocery shopping, including childrens meal prep, making snacks, and packing school lunches Unloading/loading the dishwasher Sanitizing frequently used surfaces by the children Tidy up around the house and make sure the children are picking up after themselves Managing Service Providers Organize closets, pantries, etc., and assist in developing organizational systems Car maintenance General errands (preparing for spirit weeks, picking up gifts, etc.) Package management Scheduling of appointments for the children Pet care, including taking the dog to grooming and vet appointments
Pets:
The family has a small dog. The Family Assistant will be asked to let her in and out of the house during the day and take her to grooming and vet appointments.
Qualifications:
