Job Description

Part-Time Childwatch Needed – Evening Burn Boot Camp Wake Forest 14460 Falls Of Neuse Road, Raleigh, NC 27614 Burn Boot Camp Wake Forest is looking for fun, loving, kind, and compassionate people to join our Childwatch team. As a Childwatch team member you are responsible for greeting members, playing with kids, redirecting when needed, and ensuring that the kids are safe and engaged during a 45-minute window while their parent/legal guardian works out. Class supervision, risk management, injury prevention and age-appropriate games/activities are the general functions of the job.

EXPERIENCE

The ideal individuals will have experience with all ages (8 weeks and up) and be comfortable creating engaging activities whether song, coloring, playing, or simple games. Preferred CPR and First Aid certified. Must have reliable transportation.

SHIFT AVAILABILITY

Flexible scheduling with shifts below currently available (availability for 2-3 shifts per week preferred)

Weekday Shifts :

Monday through Thursday 4:00p to 8:00p, Friday 4:00p to 7:00p

Saturday Shift:

8:00a to 11:00a (typically 1 per month)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

CHILDWATCH Greet members and their children in a warm, welcoming manner. Monitor room access by properly documenting children upon arrival. (Put an emphasis on learning children’s names) Communicate the proper use of all equipment and rules to the children. Always actively supervising the children. Engage and interact with the children. Assist with activities such as games, arts, and crafts. Ability to keep children entertained while monitoring a variety of age groups. Keep the Childwatch room clean, orderly, and attractive. After each camp, sanitize and put anything used away in a neat and organized manner. Help solve problems when minor incidents and member complaints occur and notify appropriate management personnel. Complete incident report accurately and thoroughly as applicable. Establish and maintain accurate communication with all children, parents, and supervisor. Maintain a positive attitude and act in a professional manner when interacting with members, children, and other staff at all times. Report member and guest comments, suggestions, complaints, concerns, and problems to supervisor in a timely manner. Treat all children & parents with love and respect. Complete daily cleaning checklist. Be on time, exemplify caring, honesty, respect, & responsibility for all assigned shifts.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Help with changeover between camps (vacuum, disinfect equipment, tidy bathrooms, etc.) Miscellaneous tasks around gym as needed. Complete end of shift cleaning checklist. If you love children and enjoy fitness, we would love for you to be part of our team!
