House Assistant & Nanny Position Available In New York, New York

Full-time House Assistant & Nanny job in New York, US We seek a dedicated house assistant & nanny for a warm and busy family residing in New York City with two wonderful children: a delightful 1-year-old and a bright 3-year-old. Ideal candidate will be reliable, proactive, and nurturing individual to become an integral part of our household, providing comprehensive support both with home management and childcare. Must be available one night per week for evening babysitting while parents are out.

Responsibilities Home Management:

• Maintain a clean, organized, and tidy household environment. This includes daily tidying of all living areas, bedrooms, and bathrooms.
• Manage all aspects of laundry, folding, and putting away clothes for the entire family.
• Handle grocery shopping, ensuring the refrigerator and pantry are well-stocked with fresh and necessary items.
• Prepare simple and healthy family meals as needed.
• Run occasional errands, such as dry-cleaning pick-up/drop-off or other household necessities.
• Light organizational tasks and maintaining household supplies.

Nanny Responsibilities:

• Provide attentive and loving care for 1-year-old and 3-year-old children.
• Engage children in age-appropriate activities that are stimulating, educational, and fun (e.g., reading, playing, arts and crafts).
• Always ensure the safety and well-being of the children.
• Prepare and feed the children healthy meals and snacks.
• Pick up 3-year-old from school and ensure safe transportation.
• Potty training support for the 3-year-old (if applicable).
• Maintain a clean and organized play area for the children.
• Follow established routines for naps, feeding, and playtime.
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding the children’s day, including any milestones, concerns, or observations.

Requirements Proven experience as a nanny and in household management, with verifiable references. Experience caring for toddlers and young children of the specified ages. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment. Proactive and takes initiative. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Patient, nurturing, and reliable demeanor. CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain). Comfortable with light meal preparation. Ability to respect the family’s privacy and maintain confidentiality.
