FULL-TIME Nanny or Family Assistant in Armonk, NY (live-in or live-out) Position Available In Westchester, New York

Overview:

This lovely Armonk (Westchester) family is looking for a live-in Nanny OR live-out Family Assistant. They have two boys, 5 years old and 5 months old. They have been working with a newborn care specialist for the past 5 months but she will be leaving towards the end of July and the family is looking for a nanny who can balance working with both the baby and 5 year old or a Family Assistant who can work with just the 5-year-old boy. They’re open to different arrangements and are prioritizing a good fit above all else! There are no train stations in Armonk, so candidates will need to have a car and be able to independently commute to their residence. You will need to have a passport and can accompany the family on at least one international trip per year, as well as some more local trips to New York City and Florida. They’re looking to meet candidates that have at least 7 years of experience of in-home nanny or Family Assistance experience. Position will start can start in mid-July to August.

Rate :

$40 to $50/hour plus Sick Time, PTO, Federal Holidays off. On the books, no exceptions. You must be legally able to work in the United States.

SCHEDULE

Option A, Nanny:

Live-in during the work week, Tuesday through Saturday, 7 AM to 7 PM, with a private apartment. You go home on your days off. This option would work well for candidates who can balance both children. Option B. Live-out during the week, Tuesday through Saturday, 8 AM to 6 PM with flexibility to stay later on occassion with notice.

Responsibilities:

You’ll focus on engagement and organization and structure when working with the kids, playing and engaging in developmentally appropriate activities. Other than that,. 5-years-old, boy: He’s very busy with school and activities after-school. He’s imaginative and loves to be outside exploring. When he’s inside, he loves Legoes and exploring imaginary worlds. He’s very playful. He’s learning to read and is sounding out letters as he goes! 5-months-old, boy: He’s had a newborn care specialist since he was born. She’s established a routine for him. He’s a very sweet boy.

Ideal Candidate:

The family is looking for a true professional. Somebody who takes their job seriously and is comfortable in a fully staffed home. The ideal candidate will have experience with school aged children and babies and balancing multiples. Flexibility to work a later evening here and there, with advanced notice, is also appreciated. The ideal candidate will also be playful and engaging, as well as organized, structured and adaptable.
