Child Care Center Director Ducklings ELC Landenberg Landenberg, PA 19350 Ducklings Early Learning Center is currently looking for a creative and caring Center Director to join our team. RESPONSIBILITIES

(including but not limited to): Implement developmentally appropriate curriculum within the program by working closely with the center’s teachers and staff to meet state and federal requirements and parent’s expectations. Oversee staff by holding and conducting interviews, hire and train staff, making sure that all background and fingerprint checks have been conducted, creating a staff schedule for the center. Manage facilities making sure the facility is safe and well-stocked, this includes checking that safety equipment is available and working, removing hazards and ensuring the facility is always clean and orderly. Uphold the budget work within the budget created, reevaluate when needed, post any concerns to the owner. . Market the facility by following the marketing plan to promote awareness of the facility and its services. Keep a positive rapport with parents and teachers by meeting with the parents and teachers, keeping parents up-to-date on their child’s development and progress, discussing ways to address any learning or behavioral issues, listening to teaching staff about how best to support Observe teachers and children in the classroom offering support.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Two or more years of child care center leadership/management experience is highly preferred. At least one year of center leadership/management experience is required. Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a related field. Early childhood education experience may be preferred. Licensure is required. Comply with local, state, and federal laws governing child care. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills. Friendly and approachable demeanor. Maintain a professional appearance, attitude, and work ethic at all times. Must have state specific Administrative or Director credentials, and any other state specific guidelines for the role. Bachelor’s degree in ECE or related field is a plus

$40,000.00 – $70,000.00 per year
