ENGAGED + ACTIVE AFTERNOON SUMMER NANNY/ASSISTANT FOR TWO KIDS

One sweet, old French bulldog This wonderful, active family of four is seeking a summer nanny to support their two children (G8 and B6) in July and August. The parents are hands-on and present, but with work projects and commitments during the summer, they’re looking for a kind, flexible, and motivated nanny/assistant to do fun summer activities with the kids and assist with household duties if mom or dad are with the kiddos. This is a temporary position from July 14 through mid/late August 2025, ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and is confident working alongside parents who are actively involved in their children’s day-to-day lives.
SCHEDULE
Monday – Friday, 6 – 7 hours per day scheduled for either the morning, midday or afternoon/evening, flexible on this and open to a specific schedule with the right fit.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide engaging, attentive care for G8 and B6 with a warm, gentle approach to discipline and emotional development Keep the children active and stimulated with age-appropriate activities, outdoor play, and creative outlets Participate in outings with the children, maintaining a close eye and prioritizing safety, especially in public settings Collaborate with parents, who are often present and involved in the home, to maintain a team-focused, respectful dynamic Prepare simple, healthy meals and snacks in line with the family’s preference for whole foods and limited sugar/gluten Tidy up after activities, help the children with basic routines, and support them in building independence in daily tasks Be a calm and steady presence when the children have big emotions, modeling regulation and thoughtful communication Run errands or tackle a household task (folding laundry, tidying up) if mom or dad are engaged with the kids.
REQUIREMENTS
3+ years of prior professional childcare experience Experience with ages 6-8 Ability to work collaboratively with involved parents Gentle/guidance-based discipline philosophy Respectful of holistic values, including healthy food choices and limited screen time Safe driver with a valid driver’s license and clean driving record Have a vehicle to use for any transporting of the kids or errands Comfortable with dogs Available for the 1-1.5 month commitment (July 14 – Mid/Late August)
PREFERENCES
Familiarity with or appreciation for positive parenting/gentle discipline Experience working in homes with involved parents
COMPENSATION
Hourly:
$26-$30/hr gross, based on experience Mileage reimbursement
