The ideal candidate will have an extensive childcare background, with long-term goals of a career nanny. Ideally this person must be a team player that enjoys supporting and guiding younger children. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Take full responsibility for the younger children throughout the day and the older children afterschool while parents are working hours Provide a stimulating environment to enhance the basic development skills of the children. Activities should include active, outdoor play and other educational stimulating activities. Help children with school projects and homework Oversee the daily aspects of the children’s hygiene, eating, playtime and general behavior Maintain a constant line of communication and reporting to the parents Continue to build relationships with the parents and follow their childcare philosophy Coordinate with parents and other nannies on scheduling play dates and the children’s activities schedules Take kids to and from school and to activities Shop for children’s needs: school items, clothes, favorite snacks etc. Assist with the children’s laundry: help organize wardrobe and store clothes that are not in season. Maintain the cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, children’s bedrooms and play areas. Assist with children snacks, and meals Exercise common sense and have the ability to take initiative in order to accomplish tasks and make decisions Assist in preparing the children for travel (pack/unpack and help get organized) Travel with family as needed (occasional travel is required) Must be able to drive, especially when family goes to Florida beach house.
Schedule:
Typical schedule is M – F. Must be flexible with schedule with weekends, occasional overnights as needed by principals. Work hours typically are from 8.30 AM – 6.30 PM.
Accommodations:
Live-in accommodations in a private bedroom and bathroom. Family able to provide 7 day live-in accommodations for the right person.
