ABOUT THE FAMILY

: Family “M” is a family of four, both parents working in healthcare, with two daughters: a 2-year-old toddler and a 4-month-old baby. The family is moving to Clarksville by April and is seeking a full-time nanny who can be flexible with their schedule. Daughter “M” loves books, puzzles, blocks, and has a keen interest in dinosaurs and animals, particularly birds. She is initially shy but warms up with gentle encouragement. Once comfortable, she becomes affectionate, playful, and chatty. She thrives with a calm, confident caretaker who can provide structure and support. On the other hand, baby “E” is currently in the stage of flashing smiles and giving adorable crinkles. She is a happy and sweet baby who enjoys social interactions. This family also has a 20-pound rat terrier who is affectionate but a bit anxious. The nanny should be comfortable with occasional dog snuggles and some dog hair daily. This family is affectionate but sets clear, age-appropriate expectations and consequences. They encourage their toddler to help around the house and value independence. They focus on minimal screen time and learning through play, while supporting their emotional growth and addressing tantrums calmly. The nanny’s responsibilities will include providing childcare for both daughters, which involves playtime, feeding, and managing nap routines. The nanny will also be responsible for household chores related to the children, such as meal preparation and tidying up after playtime. Additionally, the nanny will also assist with the family pet as needed. During the hours when the older daughter, “M,” is at preschool (9AM-1PM, August-May), the nanny will focus on caring for the infant, “E.” The nanny will also be encouraged to arrange playdates, attend play gyms, library activities, or other developmental activities to support “E’s” growth and learning. Due to the parents’ work in healthcare, their schedules may vary each week, and the nanny must be flexible with hours. Reliable care is needed when the parents are working, but there is flexibility on days off. This family values open communication, and the nanny is encouraged to share any concerns promptly so they can work together to address them. It’s important that the nanny is happy, and this family wants their children to learn to treat everyone, especially their nanny, with the utmost respect.

SCHEDULE
