Description The Germantown Athletic Club is seeking dependable, dedicated individuals to serve in the clubs drop in Child Care as a Lead Child Care Attendant. The employee provides oversight and guidance of daily child care activities and support staff. The Lead Child Care Attendant works under the direction of the Youth Activities Coordinator.

SCHEDULE

Monday – Thursday, 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm Examples of Duties Observe and monitor children’s play activities Keep required records including daily signing-in and out of children, ensuring proper procedures are followed Oversee cleaning and sanitizing of equipment and toys Schedule and delegate work assignments to other staff Plan, organize and participate in child-care activities, such as games, crafts and reading to children. Qualifications Must be 21 years of age or older Have experience planning and organizing recreational activities for youth ages 6 weeks -12 years of age Must be First Aide/CPR/AED Certified or ability to obtain Must pass background checks Must pass DHS physical Requirements Knowledge of DHS Child Care regulations Creative, outgoing, flexible and energetic Cheerful and caring attitude with a genuine fondness for children Skilled in behavior management technique Ability to communicate well at all levels and maintain positive relationships with staff, children and members Ability to work flexible hours including mornings, nights and weekends Part time employees are not eligible for a full benefits package, but may have limited wellness benefits.
