Worship Pastor Tapestry Church 1037 Montgomery Hwy, Vestavia Hills, AL 35216 Lead Worship & Outreach Pastor Tapestry Church – Birmingham Are you passionate about worship and called to reach the community with the hope of Jesus? Tapestry Church is seeking a Lead Worship & Outreach Pastor who will oversee and elevate the worship experience while actively engaging in local outreach to grow and strengthen our church body. About the Role This is more than a music position—it’s a spiritual leadership role with significant influence. You’ll lead and coordinate all elements of Sunday worship and local outreach efforts, ensuring every aspect of our services is intentional, unified, and Spirit-led. From music and testimonies to visuals and special events, we believe worship should reflect and reinforce the message of the Gospel.

Key Responsibilities Worship Leadership :

Oversee and coordinate all Sunday worship elements (music, communion, baptisms, testimonies, seasonal content). Ensure worship supports and enhances the preaching theme.

Team Building :

Recruit, train, and shepherd musicians, AV technicians, and other worship volunteers. Cultivate a culture of collaboration and excellence.

Outreach & Evangelism :

Lead outreach efforts to connect with the local community and invite new people into Tapestry. Engage relationally to grow the church and worship ministry.

Creative Integration :

Collaborate with the Teaching Pastor, preaching team and creatives to align music, visuals, and service flow with the sermon. Provide creative ideas (videos, testimonies, props) that reinforce spiritual themes.

Special Events :

Help Plan and lead seasonal events (Christmas, Easter, etc.) well in advance. Coordinate volunteers for special services, baptisms, and off-Sunday events.

Volunteer Engagement :

Bring clarity, connectivity, and encouragement to all volunteers. Organize appreciation events and help volunteers use their gifts in worship and outreach.

AV & Visual Support :

Coordinate and Lead the Creative development of visuals and sermon slides to enhance worship impact. Solve ongoing technical challenges in coordination with the AV team.

Mission Integration :

Promote and weave in Tapestry’s missions (e.g., Honduras, Jimmie Hale) meaningfully into worship and church life.

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

A heart for both worship and reaching people far from God. Experience in worship leadership (vocals, instruments, service planning). Strong organizational and leadership skills. A creative and collaborative spirit. Ability to equip others and build teams. A proactive and people-oriented personality. Experience with visual storytelling, media, and AV is a big plus.
