Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated individual to serve as both a Maintenance superintendent and Youth Pastor,bining practical maintenance skills with a passion for mentoring and spiritual guidance for youth. This unique role requires a hands-on individual with strong technical abilities to maintain and repair housing facilities while simultaneously leading and inspiring young people in their spiritual journey.

Maintenance and Repairs:

Fix plumbing issues (e.g., leaking faucets, clogged drains, broken pipes).
Perform electrical repairs (e.g., replacing light fixtures, repairing outlets).
Address HVAC issues, such as cleaning filters or troubleshooting heating and cooling problems.
Patch drywall, paint walls, and repair or replace flooring.
Inspect and repair roofing, gutters, and other exterior features.

Facility Inspections and Upkeep:

Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance needs.
Ensurepliance with safety standards and building codes.
Maintain landscaping and grounds, including mowing lawns, trimming hedges, and clearing walkways.

Equipment and Inventory Management:

Keep tools, equipment, and suppliesanized and in good working condition.
Monitor inventory levels and reorder necessary materials.

Emergency Response:

Respond promptly to urgent repair requests, such as broken water lines or power outages.
Address safety hazards (e.g., securing broken windows or removing trip hazards).

Youth Pastor Tasks Program Planning and Leadership:

Develop and lead weekly youth group meetings, Bible studies, and worship services.
Plan and coordinate special events, such as retreats, mission trips, andmunity service projects.
Create engaging lesson plans and activities that teach biblical principles in a relatable way.

Mentorship and Relationship Building:

Meet with youth to provide spiritual guidance and support.
Build trust and positive relationships with youth, parents, and volunteers.
Offer counseling to youth facing personal or spiritual challenges.

Volunteer Coordination:

Recruit, train, and supervise volunteers to assist with youth programs and events.

Provide support to youth during life events, such as graduations, family crises, or personal milestones.

Administration and Communication:

Maintain records of youth attendance and program participation.

Event and Space Preparation:

Set up and maintain youth activity spaces, ensuring they are safe, clean, and functional. Assist in preparing facilities for church ormunity events. This role uniquelybines technical expertise and pastoral leadership, allowing for a dynamic range of tasks that meet both physical and spiritual needs.

Qualifications:

Handyman Skills Proven experience in building maintenance, repairs, or construction work. Proficiency with tools and equipment related to home repair and maintenance. Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry, and HVAC. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team. Youth Pastor Skills Demonstrated experience in youth ministry or related field. Strong knowledge of Scripture and ability tomunicate biblical truths effectively. Passion for working with youth and building Christ-centered relationships. Excellent leadership,anizational, andmunication skills.
A heart for service and amitment to fostering spiritual growth in young people. General Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical training or certifications preferred.
Degree in Theology, Ministry, or related field (or equivalent experience) preferred.

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
