This role fosters authentic relationships, spiritual growth, and transformative community experiences that empower individuals to deepen their walk with Christ. Through intentional leadership, support, and strategic development, the Groups Associate helps create environments where discipleship flourishes and lives are transformed.

RELATIONSHIPS

Be a

Disciple Maker:

Foster a disciple-making culture by personally modeling disciple-making values and behaviors. Align with

Strategic Direction:

Execute the primary direction and priorities as provided by the Life Groups Pastor.

Cultivate Spiritual Growth:

Cultivate meaningful, Christ-centered connections with Group Leaders, participants, and volunteers.

Develop and Empower Group Leaders:

Recruit, train, and disciple Group Leaders who will lead impactful discipleship groups within the community. Equip them with the resources and spiritual guidance needed to shepherd growth and intentional faith-building connections within each group.

Support Congregational Care:

Assist with pastoral care initiatives, including counseling, weddings, funerals, and benevolence, providing compassionate guidance and support.

Strengthen Community Connections:

Act as a liaison to community partners, Christ’s Church Academy (CCA), and support groups, ensuring seamless collaboration for disciple-making efforts.

PRIORITIES
Support Discipleship Pathways:

Assist with developing content that aligns with the biblical disciple-making mission of Christ’s Church, leading to spiritual growth and connection to a small group.

Expand Community Care:

Lead with a shepherd’s heart by addressing the spiritual, emotional, and physical needs of group members. Strategic Support for

Major Events:

Collaborate with all areas of ministry to support worship services, special events, and community gatherings with intentional discipleship and care.

Proactively engage in All-Staff activities:

Participate in required staff gatherings and provide team support when needed.

PROCESS & SYSTEMS
Uphold Ministry Systems:

Utilize essential ministry tools (e.g., ROCK) to document and track the spiritual journey and relational connections of group participants, ensuring alignment with the church’s mission

Observe Volunteer Guidelines:

Execute volunteer development best practices and processes for recruitment, training, scheduling, and tracking of volunteers across discipleship and care ministries.

Evaluate and Improve Ministry Impact:

Regularly assess discipleship and care initiatives for effectiveness and opportunities for growth.

Administration:

Utilize Paycom, Rock, and the Office 365 suite of products, including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, etc.

Provide Metrics and Reporting:

Complete all required dashboard reporting in a timely fashion.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS

Practice a strict policy of confidentiality when dealing with church member information. Office environment with occasional remote support and off-site meetings with volunteers. May require physical activity such as lifting and transporting items up to 25 lbs. Occasional off-hours or weekend work may be required to support projects and events. Occasional travel to other locations or event venues may be required.
