• Hybrid work Children’s Ministry Coordinator Centenary United Methodist Church is seeking a Children’s Ministry Coordinator for the purposes of leading our Centenary Kid’s Ministry. The ministry involves engaging our students, infants through 5th Grade, and partnering with leadership in serving our students 6th
• 12th Grade. Experience in the field of Education, Leadership, Communications or Discipleship Ministries would be preferred. Our vision is for a person whose heart is growing in relationship with Jesus personally and desires to shine the light of God for these students. Children’s Responsibilities
• Lead Children’s Church Lesson
• Organize Curriculum and Lessons for Children’s Church
• Coordinate Centenary Kid’s Needs in Worship (Children’s Choir, Acolytes, Busy Bags, Etc.)
• Plan and implement Vacation Bible School (VBS)
• Plan & Lead Centenary Kid’s Events (i.e. Live Nativity, Back to School BBQ, Movie Night, etc.)
• Attend Children’s Extra Curricular Activities (Ballgames, Concerts, 4H, etc)
• Communicate with Parents through Meetings, Emails, Phone Calls, Text, Etc.
• Recruit and Schedule Volunteers Youth Responsibilities
• Coordinate with church leadership for family events and shared activities with Centenary Kids
• Support church leaders and volunteers for youth events (Such as Camp, Rock the Universe, Etc.)
• Assist the Pastor with Confirmation Nursery Responsibilities
• Maintain Nursery Facilities (Cleaning up after events and planning for various supplies.)
• Assist volunteers and staff in the Nursery when necessary. Leadership & Communication Responsibilities
• Engage in Community Events as a representative of Centenary Kid’s
• Attend Council Meetings & Discipleship Team Meetings
• Coordinate with the Pastor via Regular Meetings
• Communicate activities with Office Staff for the Church Calendar, Bulletin, & Newsletter
• Create Canva Announcements for Ministry
• Utilize Website, Church App, and Facebook for Church Communications
• Manage Expenses for Children’s Ministries Work Environment As we seek to make disciples, the leadership and staff are striving to share love, serve all, and shine the light of God.

The children and youth ministries are often some of the first interactions students have with Christ. Therefore, the desired work environment with the children is a spirit of grace and love, with the staff is a spirit of teambuilding (coming alongside the other staff in this mission) and with the parents is a spirit of hospitality (greeting and coordinating with a Christ-like experience). This spirit will build up the body of believers and create a greater impact in the Kingdom of God. Projected Hours & Rate of Pay Estimated
