A large, multi-cultural, outward-focused church in the Kendall area of Miami is seeking an experienced Youth Pastor or Director. We are looking for a leader who has served in churches with youth ministries of 100+ students, showing a proven ability to build and lead teams at scale with vision, structure, and spiritual depth. This role will oversee and develop a vibrant Youth Ministry team, both staff and volunteers, focused on discipleship, biblical teaching, and engaging, relevant programming for middle and high school students. The ideal candidate will bring strong pastoral care instincts and a deep passion for helping students grow in their relationship with Jesus and live out their faith in today’s world. Requirements In agreement with the mission of Miami Vineyard – “loving all people into a growing relationship with Jesus.
Degree in related field preferred but not required.
Spiritually mature individual, which is exhibited through the love of people, service to others, an active prayer life and a maturing knowledge of the Bible.
Demonstrated experience in church leadership, students and their families, along with associated program development in larger church (1000+).
Proven strength in creating, designing and implementing programs, with minimal supervision
Strongmunication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
Fluency in English and Spanish is preferred.
Proficiency in using technology and digital tools for ministry promotion. Spiritual Requirements Continued growth and maturity in their Christian Walk.
Strong foundation in biblical understanding.
Spiritual maturity that is easily recognizable through love of people, service to others, an active prayer life and a growing knowledge of the Bible.
Passion for youth ministry, with required spiritual gifts of leadership and teaching, as well as preferred spiritual gifts of administration and outreach.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Leadership Recruit, train, and nurture Youth ministry volunteers, interns, team & small group leaders and staff.
Develop and deliver an engaging, fun, and intentionally biblical curriculum/program for youth ministry that strategically moves a student from middle school to high school and into college.
Regularlymunicate strategies and programs to overall staff, volunteers, youth and parents.
Strategic thinking and construction of healthy systems that move students (and their parents) from a place of curiosity to kingdom-minded individuals (and families) on a mission for Jesus.
Develop and deliver an engaging, fun, and intentionally biblical curriculum/program for youth ministry that strategically moves individuals through young adult season efficiently assimilating young adults into the life of the church. Work with the Executive Pastor/Lead Pastor to develop annual ministry goals and participate in on-going team development within the church’s overall mission.
Serve on the Lead Team and attend weekly meetings. Administration & Planning Work with administrative staff tomunicate all aspects of the Youth Ministry’s vision to volunteer team, students, parents and the churchmunity in a timely manner.
Meet with the respective volunteer teams regularly for training and development.
Develop and maintain teams in each of the following areas: Weekend worship gatherings, Teaching, Special Events (strategic to aplish the priorities of Youth), Youth Ministry Training/Leadership development / Mission Projects/Compassion & kindness outreach.
Work with Executive Pastor and administrative team on budget planning, management, and assessment.
Ad to all church policies and procedures and ensure that volunteers are following stated guidelines for ministry.
Train all volunteers on proper use of the check-in monitors in each Youth area and should have working knowledge of PushPay software. Teaching Recruit and equip student ministry team for leadership.
Point person for those serving as volunteers in Youth Ministry.
Consistent teaching at ministry level with the goal of developing a gifted teaching team.
