Next Gen Pastor The Lakeside Church Oakland, FL 34787 The Next Gen Pastor will lead and oversee ministries for children and youth from birth through young adulthood, fostering faith development and equipping the next generation for ministry. The Next Gen Pastor will partner with parents, develop comprehensive strategies, and lead a team of staff and volunteers to ensuring alignment with the church’s vision. This role includes overseeing the Kids, Students and Young Adults departments, with direct oversight over Students & Young Adults. Kids Expectations Support the Kids Director and Kids team to expand the Next Gen footprint in Kids ministry across all Lakeside campuses. Provide support and guidance in creating a Christ centered, engaging and safe environment for children to grow in their faith. Collaborate with Kids staff to engage parents, offering opportunities and resources that support their active role in the spiritual development of their children. Guide the Kids teams in building and discipling leadership teams that foster the growth of reproducible leaders. Provide visionary support, ensuring alignment with the church’s mission, vision and values, and ensuring departmental goals are met. Students and Young Adults Expectations Teach and preach the Gospel and be a mentor. Oversee the operations of Lakeside Students & Young Adults Resource all campuses and ensure vision and goal alignment. Ensure that the Wednesday Students Experience, Oasis nights and special events are done with adequate preparation and excellence. Create a service environment that connects Students and Young Adults to growth track and the dream team. Leading and guiding them in worshipping, prayer, building a healthy community and challenging them to grow as leaders within the church. Provide diligent oversight for set-up and tear down for all experiences and conferences (keep facility tidy). Oversee Dream Team organization, development, and training. Foster a culture of acceptance and high-value for each individual and develop and empower them as leaders. Actively participating in social media on a regular basis for Students and parents, and Young Adults to stay connected to experiences. Foster a culture where individuals can learn to apply the Bible to their lives and to love God and people. Actively engage with community schools to support Lakeside students and school faculty. Relationally serve Students and Young Adults pastoral care needs and create personal growth plans for individuals to receive and or experience healing, restoration, deliverance, and freedom. Articulate and implement the vision of the Lakeside Church. Oversee all aspects of department administration to include maintaining existing and generating new data collecting tools as needed. Fulfill pastoral duties including counseling, baptism, communion, hospital visitation, and general pastoral care. Experience and Skills Required Strong passion to reach and influence young people for the Gospel of Jesus Christ and serve their parents or guardians. Ability to effectively communicate the Gospel through various means to middle and high school age people. Proven leadership experience serving, training and building a volunteer team. Effective delegating and follow-up ability. Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to work with people from various backgrounds. Ability to work within budget parameters for day-to-day ministry and events. Exceptional oral and written communication skills. Excellent conflict resolution skills. Proficient with Planning Center On-Line (PCO) and PCO People. Proficient with Microsoft Office and Excel. Strong organizational and time management skills. Self-led with a pursuit of excellence through attention to detail and follow-up. Trustworthy to keep confidential information. Rooted and grounded in the gospel of Jesus Christ. Must be energetic and able to stand or sit for lengths of time as needed.
