Temporary Part-Time Residency (12 month) Are you passionate about discipling the next generation of young adults and growing as a ministry leader? Discovery Church is launching a brand-new Ministry School in 2026, and we’re offering a unique opportunity to be part of its pilot cohort through our Young Adult Ministry Residency. This is more than a job—it’s a hands-on ministry training experience within a vibrant and growing churchmunity.
Overview:
As the Young Adult Ministry Resident, you’ll play a key role in launching and leading a vibrant Young Adultmunity at our Sand Lake Campus. In close collaboration with the Lead Pastor and other ministry teams, you’ll help create an environment w young adults can encounter Jesus, grow in their faith, and step confidently into their God-given purpose. This 12-month residency is ideal for those exploring a future in full-time ministry. It offers hands-on experience in leadership, discipleship, and church operations—while also providing intentional spiritual and practical development through Discovery’s new Ministry School. Throughout the year, you’ll be mentored by seasoned leaders, gain meaningful ministry experience, and discover how God has uniquely wired you for lasting impact and long-term fruitfulness in ministry.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead & Build:
Develop and lead a thriving Young Adult Ministry aligned with Discovery’s mission—to make disciples of Jesus.
Teach & Shepherd:
Provide pastoral care and teaching atmunity nights and midweek gatherings.
Empower Volunteers:
Recruit, train, and disciple volunteers across multiple teams (hospitality, groups, worship, tech, and events).
Collaborate:
Partner with Worship, Tech, and Student Ministry teams to create meaningful experiences and next steps for young adults.
Engage Seniors:
Support local Student Pastors by creating pathways for graduating high school seniors to transition into Young Adult life.
Contribute:
Participate in staff meetings and churchwide initiatives as part of the broader team.
