Kingsland First Baptist Church is a Christ-centered Southern Baptist church located in the growing coastal community of Kingsland, Georgia. With an average weekly attendance of over 500, we are a multi-generational congregation committed to biblical preaching, authentic worship, discipleship, missions, and community outreach. We are located close to the Kings Bay Submarine Base as well as historic St. Marys, and our outreach extends to Camden County and beyond. We are affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention.

Position Overview:

We are prayerfully seeking a Senior Pastor who is called by God to shepherd, teach, and lead our church. The ideal candidate will have a passion for expository preaching, a heart for pastoral care, and a commitment to the Great Commission – as well as the ability to cast a compelling vision for church growth and spiritual health.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Preach and teach the Word of God faithfully and effectively
• Provide visionary, strategic and empowering leadership to the church and staff
• Equip and disciple believers for spiritual maturity and ministry
• Lead in outreach, evangelism and community engagement
• Shepherd the congregation through pastoral care, counseling, and visitation
• Work in cooperation with church leadership, deacons, and ministry teams

Qualifications:

• A clear, personal testimony of salvation and a growing relationship with Jesus Christ
• A strong commitment to the inerrancy and authority of Scripture
• Bachelor’s degree required; seminary degree (MDiv or equivalent) preferred
• Minimum 6-10 years of pastoral experience, including leadership in a multi-staff setting
• Demonstrated ability to lead a church of 500+ in attendance
• Strong relational, communication, and administrative skills
