Job:
This Audio/Video/Lighting (AVL) Director of The dReam Center Church of Atlanta (TdRC) is responsible for overseeing audio, sound, and lighting, as well as development of the use of distributed video/tech platforms to communicate the Gospel outside the walls of the church. This includes leading and developing volunteer audio, video and lighting staff and volunteers by overseeing and managing the expectations of these teams and systems. Reporting to the Chief of Staff, the AVL Director will oversee the following ministry areas and manage key staff members and volunteers:
Audio Engineers Front of House, Monitors and Broadcast Video Volunteer Lead Lighting Volunteer Lead Production Volunteer Lead Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Must build and manage the audio, lighting, and video production teams. Must meet weekly with staff, video, lighting and production leads, to identify and schedule teams for upcoming events, provide feedback, and gather updates. Must provide weekly updates to the Lead Pastor and Chief of Staff. Serve as the Media producer for all worship services, working with and training all volunteers. Oversee audio team by working alongside Lead Audio Engineer to ensure high quality over all broadcasts, monitors and front of house sound. Responsible for proper video capture framing for message and worship broadcast/recording, as defined by Leadership. Create and manage video announcements, independent commercials, etc. Monitor and enhance our current Wirecast-Facebook Live and YouTube streams for online worship experiences. Work with production team and sound technicians for all services including sound, lights, IMAG, videos, etc. Record and/or broadcast of all worship services and events as directed by leadership. Oversee big picture planning for the audio, video and lighting departments. Convert full screen PPT slides into appropriate layout for live video broadcasts. Attend staff meetings and planning meetings. Oversee preparation of stage and equipment for weekly rehearsals and worship services. Ensure that weekend video and overdubbed audio are uploaded to the church website, timely. Must arrive prior to established soundcheck start times. All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree (preferred) in media, production or graphic design. More than three (3) years video capture, editing, motion graphic experience. Experience leading multiple teams of adult volunteers. Experience working in a church of 1,500 or more in weekly attendance. Experience with various computer-based broadcast mixing systems. Experience in live video, IMAG production, A/V technology, and graphic design.

Hours:
This position may require evening, weekend and holiday work to accommodate ministry events and church activities.
Travel:
