Music Director/Minister of Music Pleasant Grove Baptist 250 Pleasant Grove Rd, Lavonia, GA 30553 Overview The Music Minister plays a vital role in enhancing the worship experience within the community through music and song. This position involves leading musical worship, mentoring musicians, and fostering a spirit of creativity and collaboration among the music team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for music and a strong commitment to spiritual growth, providing guidance and support to both individuals and groups. Responsibilities Lead congregational singing during worship services, ensuring an engaging and uplifting atmosphere. Organize and coordinate music for special events, services, and seasonal celebrations. Mentor and develop musicians within the church community, providing guidance in their musical journey. Collaborate with other ministry leaders to integrate music into various church activities effectively. Educate choir members and musicians on vocal techniques, instrumentation, and music theory as needed. Select appropriate music that aligns with the church’s mission and enhances the worship experience. Foster a welcoming environment for all musicians, encouraging participation from diverse backgrounds. Skills Strong leadership abilities to inspire and motivate a diverse group of musicians. Excellent communication skills to effectively convey ideas and instructions to team members. Experience in mentoring individuals or groups in musical practices or spiritual growth. A passion for educating others about music theory, vocal techniques, or instrumental skills. Ability to work collaboratively with other ministry leaders to create cohesive worship experiences. This role is essential in nurturing a vibrant musical community that enriches the spiritual life of the congregation through heartfelt worship.
