POSITION PURPOSE
The Director of Youth and Children Ministries is dedicated to inspiring the youth and children of Reid Memorial Presbyterian Church to grow in faith, build community with one another, and learn with humility from Christ’s commandment to love God and love your neighbor. RESPONSIBILITIES
Relational Build relationships with children, youth, and all members of the congregation during and outside of formal programming Recruit, support, and encourage volunteers to assist with children and youth ministry Leadership Plan and lead activities in the areas of worship, study, service, and play for youth and children Encourage children and youth to reach out to our church family, community, and world in service and love Spiritual Formation Lead a ministry that empowers parents to become their children’s primary teachers and models of faith Create fun, spiritually significant and varied programming for Sunday morning, weekly programs, mission events, retreats, and other events Study, prepare, and deliver messages that give students a holistic understanding of scripture and God’s truth Facilitate the Confirmation process for middle-school aged youth Operational Ensure that the child protection policy (Safe Sanctuary) is observed Manage annual program budget and spending including maintaining expense reports Develop and effectively facilitate a communication strategy to youth and parents Qualifications and Experience Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience Person whose Christian faith is important to them; preference to someone within the Reformed tradition Possess a commitment to lifelong learning, regularly pursuing coursework or training to improve and enhance their ministry Competent in using word processing and publication software, social media, and other forms of communication •Please contact Charlene Sizemore or Holly Welch at Workforce Capital LLC. with any questions•Holly Welch 706-840-5711 -Charlene Sizemore 706-832-8211 _ Please email resumes to _ : charlene@wfcworks.com
