The College Minister is responsible for the teaching, training, discipleship, and evangelism of college students with emphasis placed on fulfilling the mission and vision of First Baptist Starkville.

Responsibilities:

Create, lead, and evaluate the ministry and programming for all College and Graduate students.
Devise annual ministry goals that support and aplish the mission and vision of First Baptist.
Evaluate, develop, implement, and manage a detailed budget for the College Ministry that allows for successful ministry while exercising responsible stewardship of FBC resources.
Develop and implement strategy to engage and partner with Mississippi State University, MSU campusanizations, and regional colleges (i.e. Mississippi University for Women, East Mississippi Community College.)
Recruit, equip, and deploy College ministry leadership/volunteers
Working within the established guest engagement system, implement follow-up strategies with guests.
Working with the Student Minister, devise a strategy to facilitate healthy transition into the College Ministry for graduating High School seniors.
Communicate regularly with students, volunteers, andmunity.
Meet with college students regarding profession of faith, baptism, and continued discipleship.
Plan, develop, andanize activities for college students, including but not limited to:
Regular discipleship activities for College student
Regular fellowship activities for College students outside of Sundays and Wednesdays;
Emphasize regular missions opportunities for college students to Live Sent.
Summer opportunities for College student
Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Apleted or in-progress seminary degree
Minimum of 3 years of experience in College ministry or discipleship focused ministry.
Abiding walk with Christ
Strong leadership,munication, andanizational skills
Forward thinking and goal oriented
Public speaking skills
Awareness of technology and social media
Problem solving skills.
