To help further this mission, the church is seeking an Active Families Pastor to oversee the student and family ministry team. This individual will play a vital role in guiding this ministry and the people it serves toward bing fully developed followers of Jesus who embody our d values while fulfilling our mission.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The ideal candidate will have a deep passion for the Lord, His church, and our d mission of making disciples. The Active Families Pastor reports to the Next Gen Pastor and is responsible for leading and overseeing ministries focused on reaching and discipling families and students.

Key responsibilities include:

Developing apelling vision for assigned ministries with the goal of sharing the gospel, discipling believers, and fostering spiritual, numerical, and financial growth.
Leading the planning, direction, and evaluation of all assigned ministry areas.
Organizing and managing special projects and events, including camps, retreats, mission trips, worship services, and other church-wide or ministry-specific events.
Enlisting, training, and equipping qualified leaders and volunteers for effective ministry.
Supervising ministry staff, leaders, and volunteers to ensure alignment with the church’s mission and values.
Utilizing relevantmunication channels to keep both the congregation and the broadermunity informed and engaged.
Preparing and managing ministry budgets, including oversight of all related expenditures.
Supporting the pastoral care needs of the congregation as part of the overall ministry team.
Participating in regular planning and coordination meetings with senior and ministerial staff to ensure unity and effectiveness across all church ministries.
Serving in full alignment with the mission statement and core values of Collierville First Baptist Church.
Performing other duties as assigned by the Executive Pastor or Senior Pastor.

QUALIFICATIONS

The foremost requirement for this role is a Christ-centered life. The successful candidate will demonstrate a deep and ever-growing relationship with God, evidenced by consistent daily time in Scripture and prayer, the visible fruit of the Spirit, active leadership in a local church, and amitment to maintain healthy, accountable relationships with a small group of mature believers. A clear andpelling sense of calling to ministry will also be evident. In evaluating candidates for the position of Active Families Pastor, we will consider the following key qualifications: Godly character and a Christ-centered life
A clear calling to work with students and their families
Demonstratedpetency and experience in student ministry
Strong relational chemistry with other ministry team members
A solid understanding of relational ministry
Proven leadership skills, including the ability to recruit, equip, and develop others
Effective management skills, including budgeting and staff supervision
Creativity and innovative thinking in ministry to the next generation
A strong work ethic and high personal integrity
Amitment to excellence in all areas of ministry Candidates should have 3-5 years of experience as a Student Minister or Family Minister in a mid-size church with multiple staff members and a team-based approach to ministry. Ideal candidates will be teachable,mitted to personal and professional growth, and capable of leading and holding individuals, teams, and ministries accountable to measurable goals and oues. CFBC values a collaborative, participative, and team-oriented culture, and the leader in this role must embody those same values. This position requires strong implementation skills, relational influence, and the ability to lead effectively through others. The right candidate will deeply value people and possess the interpersonal and emotional intelligence necessary to relate well across generations and levels of spiritual maturity. Strongmunication skills—both written and spoken—are essential, along with the ability to faithfully and effectively teach God’s Word. While a seminary degree and ordination are preferred, they are not required. However, candidates must demonstrate a well-established theological framework, a solid understanding of ecclesiology, and a deep knowledge of Scripture to navigate the biblical and practical demands of this ministry. Alignment with the biblical theology of the Senior Pastor is also expected. Ultimately, this is the role of a minister and shepherd. Tfore, the candidate must exhibit personal warmth, provide wise andforting counsel, foster peace and harmony in relationships, and contribute positively to the ministry environment.
