Youth Pastor Selah Christian Church 1332 Selah Church Road, Four Oaks, NC 27524 Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Youth Pastor to join our ministry team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for nurturing the spiritual growth of our youth, fostering a supportive community, and engaging them in meaningful activities. This role requires strong public speaking skills, the ability to communicate effectively with young people, and a commitment to mentoring and educating the next generation in their faith journey as they grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ. Responsibilities Develop and implement engaging programs for youth that promote spiritual growth and community involvement. Lead youth services, Bible studies, Sunday School lessons, and other discussions. Mentor individual youth through one-on-one meetings, providing guidance and support in their spiritual development. Collaborate with parents and church leaders to create a safe and welcoming environment for all youth. Organize retreats, service projects, and outreach events that foster teamwork and community service among the youth. Communicate effectively with parents about their children’s progress and involvement in church activities. Manage conflicts among youth in a constructive manner, promoting resolution and understanding. Write newsletters or updates to keep the congregation informed about youth activities and initiatives. Opportunities will also be available for the Youth Pastor to fill the pulpit, and deliver sermons to the full congregation from time to time. Qualifications A strong personal faith and a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. A bachelor’s degree in theology, Christian education, youth ministry, or a related field OR enrollment in a degree program is preferred. Experience in youth ministry or related fields, demonstrating the ability to lead and mentor young people. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with young people and their families. Strong organizational skills to plan and execute various programs and activities. A passion for evangelism and outreach, particularly within the youth community. Three credible references of character and work ethic. Strong public speaking skills with the ability to engage a group of young individuals. Ability to work collaboratively with church staff, church Board, volunteers, and families to achieve common goals.
