Masonboro Baptist Church is a welcoming and Christ-centered community dedicated to nurturing faith and spiritual growth across all ages. We are prayerfully seeking a passionate and committed Youth Minister to lead and disciple our middle and high school students, helping them grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ and live out their faith in everyday life.
Position Overview:
The youth minister will oversee all aspects of our youth ministry, creating opportunities for spiritual formation, service, and fellowship. The ideal candidate will be a relational leader who is excited to walk alongside students and their families, building a vibrant and Christ-honoring youth ministry rooted in Scripture and supported by the broader church body.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and organize weekly youth gatherings, Bible studies, and Sunday school classes. Plan and coordinate special events, mission trips, retreats, and service opportunities. Build meaningful, Christ-centered relationships with students and their families. Recruit, train, and encourage adult volunteers to support the ministry. Foster an environment that is safe, welcoming, and inclusive for all youth. Collaborate with church staff and leadership to align youth ministry with the church’s overall mission. Communicate effectively through email, social media, and church announcements. Manage the youth ministry budget responsibly.
Qualifications:
A personal and growing relationship with Jesus Christ. A clear calling and passion for ministering to youth. Experience in youth ministry, education, or Christian leadership. Strong communication, teaching, and organizational skills. Willingness to work evenings and weekends as required. Degree or coursework in ministry, theology, or a related field preferred but not required.
