The Worship Leader and/or Pianist helps plan, prepare, and lead weekly worship services and special events throughout the year. Worship at Eureka Church blends traditional hymns with contemporary songs and aims to engage all age groups, encourage genuine worship, and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ clearly and boldly.

Qualifications:

A clear personal testimony of faith in Jesus Christ and a life that reflects a growing relationship with Him. Previous experience in planning and leading worship. Agreement with the beliefs and doctrine of Eureka Church (see:https://eurekachurch.co/about/our-beliefs)

Skills and Abilities:

Able to lead and teach a worship team and/or choir. Skilled in playing the piano or digital piano. Works well with others and communicates effectively. Organized, dependable, and self-motivated. Arrives on time (at least 15 minutes early for scheduled services and events).

Responsibilities:

Worship Leader Duties:

Lead and direct worship during Sunday services and special events. Plan weekly worship sets at least one month in advance, coordinating with the Pastor. Attend worship planning meetings and collaborate with the Worship Committee, musicians, and Pastor. Teach and lead a volunteer choir with a range of skill levels. Identify and mentor church members with musical talents for future involvement. Participate in rehearsals and all worship services. Provide input and ideas for service themes and schedules. Take on additional worship-related duties as needed.

Pianist Duties:

Play the piano or digital piano during all worship services and rehearsals. Provide musical support during special services such as revivals, Easter, and Christmas programs. Work closely with the Worship Leader, Worship Committee, and Pastor. Contribute to planning and offer creative input for services. Take on additional worship-related duties as needed. Individual who is committed to enhancing the spiritual life of the congregation through dynamic worship leadership. The parsonage is available and may be offered as part of the total compensation package to assist with housing needs.
