Developanize and direct programs and activities pertaining to the provision of pastoral care at Exeter Hospital consistent with the hospitals missions statement. Supervise spiritual care staff.
Requirements:
Masters of Divinity or equivalent training
Prior Chaplain/Spiritual Care experience in hospital setting
5-7 years experience
1-3 years prior supervisory experience
Major Responsibilities:
Responsible for human resource management of staff including hiring; firing; evaluating and developing. Communicateanizational information to staff on a regular and timely basis.
Functions as a Spiritual Care advisor for patients and their families and members of the Exeter health Resources Community.
Facilitates the activities of Exeter Health Resource chaplains;munity clergy and religious leaders in the fullfillment of the pastoral care of their congregational members serving under the auspices of various religiousanizations.
Develops and implements education programs to enable the Exeter Health Resourcesmunity to understand and appreciate more fully the role and value of pastoral care.
Develop departmental policies; procedures; and budgets; oversees records; distribution of religious materials; and chapel use.
Evaluates the fulfillment of departmental goals and objectives; including the preparation of reports on pastoral services and activities.
Meets operating plans; corporate initiatives; regulatory standards; State and Federal requirements; as apporpriate.
