Positions and shifts to accommodate all schedules What you will do: The Chaplain will provide spiritual and emotional healing ministry through compassionate, healing words and action, as well as supportive healing presence to all entrusted to our services. As an essential member of a fully integrated and interdisciplinary healthcare team, the Chaplain is knowledgeable and skilled in shared-responsibility with colleagues in the holistic care of those entrusted to the healthcare team. All SPHP’s Chaplains must be disposed, freely, and willingly to use the Core Values of this organization as handy guiding tools for compliance with the overarching mission and ministry of SPHP.
Responsibilities:
Provide spiritual and emotional support Counsel patients and staff Ability to perform or carry out Sacraments of the Roman Catholic Church.
What you will need:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college, seminary, or university with at least 2 units of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) is required. Master’s degree in theology, philosophy, counseling, psychology, pastoral care, spirituality, or their equivalencies from an accredited academic institution is preferred. Minimum of 2 years of chaplaincy ministry experience in acute healthcare setting; knowledge of Ethical and Religious Directives for Catholic Healthcare Services. Required to maintain behavior in the community consistent with high moral character. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Good interpersonal skills showing a high degree of confidentiality, sensitivity, and discretion. Active and in good standing with Catholic Church and the local ordinary.
Pay Range:
$22.00
- $30.
00 Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
