Youth Ministry Coordinator Cornerstone Presbyterian Church – 5.0 Center Valley, PA Job Details Part-time From $15 an hour 13 hours ago Qualifications Mid-level Administrative experience Leadership Communication skills Full Job Description Cornerstone’s Youth Ministry Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of the youth ministry to ensure a smoothly operating, safe, and effective program consistent with the vision and mission of the church. The coordinator will recruit and train leaders who will engage students’ lives with God’s love, teach them God’s Word, and provide fellowship with God’s people – building on a foundation that will form students into worshippers of God, followers of Jesus Christ, and participants in his Kingdom work. This is a part-time hourly position (15 hours per week average). Compensation is commensurate with experience

Position Qualifications:

A committed follower of Jesus Christ who demonstrates spiritual maturity and a growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ. A member in good standing with a Bible-believing church who would move toward membership with Cornerstone Presbyterian Church. Demonstrated experience leading youth groups and volunteer leaders Strong interpersonal, communication, and administrative skills. Child abuse and criminal background clearances. A desire to learn and collaborate with pastors and ministry staff.

Position Description:

1. Attend church staff meetings, and help integrate the Youth Ministry with the life of the church body. Develop objectives, goals, and policies for Youth ministries in cooperation with the pastors, officers, staff, and ministry leaders. 2. Recruit, train and disciple youth volunteer leadership – screening before placing them in ministry. This includes leading through delegation and equipping, utilizing a Youth Ministry Team and regularly involved volunteers who will minister with and to the students. Manage child abuse and criminal background clearances for youth leaders. 3. Develop an intentional strategy based upon Cornerstone ministry plan to engage with both high school and middle school students being aware of needs for spiritual growth. 4. Lead a weekly large group gathering consisting of Bible Study/teaching, worship, discipleship groups, and fun activities. 5. Coordinate youth small groups, providing shepherding training and support for group leaders. Discipleship of the students in groups led by volunteers is a key goal of this ministry. 6. Ensure proper planning and execution of youth events (retreats, service, missions, fun events), being present at events, teaching when needed, and meeting regularly with youth leadership. 7. Provide training and equipping for parents to create a culture of family discipleship. 8. Assist the church in providing a safe place for our students by addressing any complaints regarding youth leaders. Discuss complaints/concerns with leaders when warranted. Document and report serious matters to the pastor and proper authorities. 9. Direct approval process for youth ministries programs, curricula, activities, and disbursement of funds for supplies and projects, keeping within budgeted amounts. 10. Assist in Communicant’s Class coordination, along with pastors and children’s ministry. 11. Pray for the students and youth leaders on a weekly basis. Be available to counsel and pray with students regarding spiritual matters. Position reports to the Senior Pastor with oversight by Cornerstone’s Session.
