Accountability:
Prison Chaplaincy Manager or Prison Chaplaincy Supervisor Status:
Full Time/Part Time (up to 28 hours);
Non-Exempt BFOQ:
Gender, Religion Purpose:
To provide Christian discipleship and chaplaincy services to male prison inmates in accordance with current policies and processes. Duties Christian Discipleship Teach classes to prison inmates from the Bible about life change through the gospel Provide counsel to prison inmates from the Bible about life change through the gospel Pray that the Spirit of God would bring life change through the gospel to prison inmates Chaplaincy Services Help coordinate weekly Christian worship services Visit inmate housing areas to interact with inmates Respond to Request Forms from inmates in a timely manner Maintain and submit monthly reports Attend required training as instructed by prison staff Promote Men’s Aftercare and facilitate inmate applications Assist in organizing and executing Jubilee activities in the facility Minister to prison staff within the facility as opportunities arise Participate in Prison Chaplaincy staff meetings and other team-building activities Other duties as assigned Jubilee Ministries is a privately funded 501(c)3 non-profit Christian ministry. We exist to serve those affected by incarceration by being ambassadors of life change through the Gospel of Jesus Christ. All employees must:
Be able and willing to share the Gospel and participate in the ministry (spiritual) activities of Jubilee Ministries Subscribe to Jubilee Ministries Mission Statement, Core Values, Statement of Faith, Position Statements, and Christian Code of Conduct at hire and continuously while employed Adhere to Jubilee Ministries Employee Handbook Participate in staff devotions including prayer and scripture reading. Oversee staff devotions including prayer and scripture reading.

Qualifications:
Committed to being an ambassador of life change through the gospel of Jesus Christ Convinced of the authoritative nature of the Bible Education and/or experience in Christian ministry or case work Effective relational, organizational, and presentation skills Able to appropriately handle sensitive information and maintain required confidentiality Willing to adhere to Jubilee’s Mission Statement, Core Values, Statement of Faith, Position Statements, and Employee Code of Conduct Able to exercise judgment and provide counsel that is consistent with Jubilee’s mission statement and core values, standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulation, or law Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, especially Outlook, Word, and Excel Experience in settings related to homelessness, incarceration, and addiction is a plus
