Job Description
Bishop Gadsden Episcopal Retirement Community is a not-for-profit, faith-based senior living community.
A Typical Day:
Provide spiritual and emotional support to residents and team members in their daily lives
Provide spiritual and emotional support for end-of-life care and issues surrounding death
Visit with residents who are in the hospital
Perform specific sacramental ministries
Execute liturgical duties
What We Need From A Candidate:
Must be an ordained Episcopal priest in good standing with the bishop and diocese in which the candidate is living.
Must be (or be eligible to become) canonically resident in the Episcopal Diocese of South Carolina.
Minimum of two years’ experience in either a parish or institutional setting, with strong preference for experience in senior living or ministry to a residential community.
Completion of a minimum of one-year advanced clinical training (or no less than 4 CPE units) in a facility accredited by the Association of Clinical Pastoral Care, or an equivalent in training and practical experience will be considered.
Candidates must be either board certified or eligible for board certification through the Association of Professional Chaplains (APC).
