We’re looking for a passionate, Spirit-led leader to step into the role of Children’s Pastor — someone who lives out LIFE and wants to help raise the next generation of Jesus followers to do the same. Primary Objective The Children’s Pastor will cast vision, give direction, and bring energy and leadership to Take Heart Kids (birth-5th grade). This person will create engaging environments w children encounter the love of Jesus, grow in the Word, and have fun doing it — while also equipping parents and volunteers to live out their calling in kids’ discipleship. This is a strategic and pastoral leadership role focused entirely on Kids Ministry at Take Heart Church. Fun, flexible, approachable, and ready to do life with families Your Skills & Experience Strongmunication and leadership skills with kids, parents, and volunteers
Proven ability to build, develop, and lead healthy volunteer teams
Strategic thinker who can build sustainable systems and structure
Organized and detail-oriented (yes, we notice!)
Comfortable teaching Biblical truth in creative, age-appropriate ways
Familiar with current trends, tools, and curriculum in kids ministry
3-5 years of relevant ministry experience preferred
Bible College or ministry-related degree is a plus What You’ll Do Create a fun, safe, and Spirit-filled kids ministry experience each week
Build and equip a passionate team of volunteers who love kids and Jesus
Partner with parents to help them disciple their kids at home
Oversee ministry from birth to 5th grade — curriculum, classrooms, safety, and more
Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum with strong Biblical teaching
Communicate consistently with parents, volunteers, and church staff
Manage all kids ministry logistics: planning, scheduling, budgets, supplies, etc.
Plan and lead special events (VBS, summer camp, Easter, Spooktacular, etc.)
Offer vision and leadership to continually grow and evolve the ministry
Stay current on child development and ministry trends
Be an active member of our pastoral team, supporting church-wide events and vision Bonus Responsibilities (As Needed) Visit schools and build relationships with families in themunity
Provide occasional support to Student Ministry team
Host parenting classes or seminars
Be available for occasional pastoral duties (baptisms, child dedications, etc.) You’ll Thrive at
