Children’s Ministry Director Lake Murray Presbyterian Church 2721 Dutch Fork Rd, Chapin, SC 29036 Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Director to provide strong and visionary leadership for the Children Ministries of Lake Muray Presbyterian church; to provide worship leadership, children visitation and hospital visitation as necessary in relationship to the Children’s Ministry. Duties A. Children’s Ministries – With the support of and in coordination with the CE Committee, the Children’s Ministry Director is responsible for the administration, planning, implementation, and evaluation of a growing Children’s Ministry. This includes but is not limited to the following areas: Preparation for Sunday Activities Sunday School Children’s Church Special Events Other Children’s Ministry Programs Children’s Music B. Day School Facilitate Day School Chapel Services Coordinate ministry/room use with the Day School Seek and promote opportunities for Day School outreach for Children’s Ministry Programs Coordinate Day School parent programs to facilitate engagement with LMPC. C. Communications Attend weekly staff meetings and monthly Christian Education meetings Attend Session meetings when requested Prepare monthly and quarterly reports of activities for CE Committee and Session Prepare communication to families of children D. Pastoral Care related to children or families E. Worship Leadership as it relates to Children’s Sermon F. New and Current Member Outreach G. Other duties deemed necessary by Senior Pastor or CE Committee. Requirements Prefer a bachelor/seminary degree in a related field. Prior experience working with children. Ability to plan, organize, direct, and lead the Children’s Ministry in a growing church. Sufficient skills and experience to relate Bible teachings. Ability to recruit, train, supervise, and lead a team of program volunteers. Ability to pass a criminal background check and other background checks that may be required for working with youth.
