Groups & Connections Minister – The Church at Woodbine 4.0 4.0 out of 5 stars 29 Whitsett Rd, Nashville, TN 37210 The Woodbine Groups & Connections Minister is responsible to the church, under the direction of The Campus & Teaching Pastor for overall direction and execution of all adult groups and casting vision, planning, implementing, and evaluating a comprehensive assimilation and Guest Service ministry (“connection”).
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
may include but are not limited to the following:
CONNECTION
Plan, promote, and facilitate Discover classes, including Discover Us and Discover You (PLACE.) Maintain the systems & processes for assimilating new members into discipleship and service. Provide oversight to ensure campus staff is providing follow-up with 1st time guests & visitors. Provide oversight, leadership, & training to the following lay-led teams: ushers, greeters, welcome, security, parking. Consistently identity, recruit and enlist new volunteers to serve on these guest services teams. Ensure that all safety, CPR, first aid, and emergency procedures are up to date. Adult Groups In coordination with the Campus & Teaching Pastor, implement and oversee a strategy that establishes & supports a growing number of adult group opportunities. Effectively identify, coach, and support a consistent & growing number of adult group leaders. Facilitate & multiply group opportunities across the geographic area that the campus serves. Using the church’s Disciple-Making Strategy (i.e., DXD strategy) as a template, implement a plan to equip and mobilize a growing number of people to share their faith and make disciples where they live, work, and play.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
may include but are not limited to the following: Participate in campus meetings. Assist in pastoral care, and minister on-call duties, as appropriate. Participate in monthly and quarterly all staff meetings at Brentwood campus. Communicate weather alerts, procedures and contingency plans, as necessary. Effectively communicate with & work alongside the campus Administrative Assistant. Effectively maintain a personal & professional self-development plan. Report to the Campus & Teaching Pastor at least monthly on progress towards goals and initiatives. Pray with and, as necessary, hold members accountable for personal, spiritual and professional growth. Provide oversight, accountability and regular reporting for the budget related to all assigned ministries. Demonstrate a willingness to attend any churchwide gatherings or strategic serving initiatives. Be available to serve as a Sunday AM decision counselor, and weekly pastoral care/guidance. Collaborate with and regularly attend the All-Campus Ministry Team meetings for their assigned ministry area(s). Be available to preach while the Campus and Teaching Pastor is away. Complete other duties as assigned by supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS
A willingness to serve as a bridge where collaboration and alignment will exist between The Church at Woodbine and Brentwood Baptist campuses. The proven ability to identify, equip, supervise, manage, and lead a team of staff and/ or volunteers. Exceptional relational skills. The proven ability to manage budgets, plan and implement plans in church environments. A personal sense of calling from God to vocational Christian ministry in general and to this particular area of ministry. Ability to identify with the mission, vision, values, theology and philosophy of Brentwood Baptist Church. A mature Christian who is demonstrates the Fruits of the Spirit, is growing in their faith and is committed to spiritual disciplines such as Bible reading, prayer. The proven ability to identify, equip and lead a team of volunteers. Ability to collaborate, cooperate and function well in a team environment. Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Minimum of a bachelor’s degree. A master’s degree from an accredited seminary preferred. Minimum of 2 years full time experience in a ministerial role on a church staff All campuses function under the governance of Brentwood Baptist Church. Each campus is an established entity operating as a whole and permanent part of Brentwood Baptist. Each maintains pre-determined alignment characteristics that uphold the Brentwood Baptist “DNA” while also containing some contextualized characteristics to allow it to best reach its target local community. Every staff member is an employee of Brentwood Baptist.
