Goodlettsville Church is looking for a Senior Pastor to lead and support our congregation with wisdom, humility, and a heart for ministry. Key Responsibilities:
Preaching & Worship Leadership Preach meaningful, biblically sound sermons that biblical truth to daily life, inspiring faith and transformation.
Lead inspiring worship services that create a Spirit-filled environment that glorifies God.
Work closely with the worship and media teams to ensure services are well-planned, engaging, and theologically sound. Spiritual Growth & Discipleship Teach and encourage spiritual growth through Bible studies, small groups, and mentoring.
Support and equip church members with resources and guidance to deepen their faith and live out Christian beliefs.
Engage all generations, investing in ministries for children, youth, young adults, and families. Pastoral Care Offerpassionate support, prayer, and guidance during life’s challenges while building a caringmunity through relationships, visits, support groups, and outreach.
Provide pastoral counseling for those navigating grief, crises, or major life transitions.
Lead and officiate important life events, including baptisms, weddings, and funerals. Community Outreach & Engagement Lead outreach efforts to serve the localmunity, demonstrate Christ’s love through action, and advance The Great Commission.
Build relationships withmunityanizations to strengthen partnerships and opportunities for service.
Encourage the congregation to get involved in mission work, outreach, and evangelism. Church Leadership & Administration Lead with vision, integrity, and a prayerful heart, helping guide the future of the church.
Support financial and facility planning with wise stewardship to keep the church strong and sustainable.
Work alongside church leaders, staff, and volunteers to align ministries with Goodlettsville Church’s mission.
Manage, mentor, and support church staff, fostering a culture of teamwork and service that honors God in every aspect of ministry. Qualifications –
Education & Ordination:
A Master of Divinity (M.Div.) or equivalent degree is required.
Must be ordained or willing to pursue ordination in the Cumberland Presbyterian Church, withpletion taking place within three years after hire. Qualifications –
Experience & Key Skills:
At least five years of pastoral leadership experience in a similar church setting.
Strongmunicator who can deliver engaging sermons and Bible teachings.
Proven leadership andanizational skills, including staff and ministry team management.
