Job Description
St. John’s Cathedral, a growing and active parish in the heart of downtown Knoxville, TN seeks a newly ordained priest who is looking for a healthy and dynamic church in which to learn, grow, and gain experience in ordained ministry. Under the supportive guidance of a faithful and experienced clergy team, this welcoming Cathedral community is seeking a priest to engage in preaching, pastoral care, liturgical leadership, and the spiritual formation of the congregation.
A wide range of ministry experiences awaits the right candidate, including preaching, leading ministries, pastoral visitation, Bible studies, mission trips, pilgrimages, Lenten programs, healing ministry, and presiding at our worship services. Additionally, our worship life is enriched with Evensong and seasonal liturgical offerings.
St. John’s, founded in 1826, is a well-resourced and welcoming community that values intentional pastoral care, spiritual formation, outreach, community involvement, meaningful fellowship, and a strong commitment to ministry.
