Description:

The Youth & College Pastor is responsible for leading and growing a dynamic, Spirit-filled ministry that reaches and disciples students (middle & high school) and college students. This role requires a passionate leader who can build relationships, equip volunteers, and create engaging environments w the next generation encounters Jesus, grows in their faith, and bes actives members of the church. In addition to leading student ministry, this role oversees university campus outreach, small groups, and discipleship pathways to foster spiritual growth beyond youth ministry.

Responsibilities:

Leadership & Volunteer Development
Recruit, train, and empower a team of volunteers to effectively minister to youth and college students.
Develop and oversee leadership pipelines, raising up students to serve in ministry.
Student Engagement
Form meaningful relationships with students and their families, fostering connection and trust.
Engage with students personally, both within and beyond church gatherings.
Offer pastoral care and guidance for students navigating spiritual and personal challenges.
Worship Gatherings, Small Groups, and Discipleship
Plan and lead high-energy, Spirit-filled weekly students worship gatherings that are both fun and spiritually enriching.
Develop and oversee small groups that promote biblical learning and deep relationships.
Establish clear discipleship pathways that help congregants grow in their faith and integrate into the church body.
Develop strategic outreach initiatives to engage local university campuses, building relationships with students and campusanizations.
Create opportunities for students to connect with the church through events, mentorship, and service projects.
Church Integration & Special Events
Connect youth and college students with the broader church through special events, worship services, and church-wide initiatives.
Plan and lead outreach events, camps, retreats, mission opportunities, and leadership development programs.
Plan and execute an annual budget for all ministries in the Youth & College portfolio.
Communication & Representation
Maintain a high level of excellence in how ministry focus areas aremunicated within the church and to themunity.
Use social media, email, and other platforms to engage students and parents effectively.
Represent Northside with professionalism and enthusiasm in all interactions.
Spiritual & Personal Growth
Remain a highly motivated team player and prayer warrior,mitted to personal and spiritual growth.
Stay connected to trends and best practices in youth and college ministry.
Actively participate in staff meetings and contribute to the overall vision of the church.

Requirements:

Education
Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in youth or college ministry, church leadership (or a relatable field).
Experience
Five years of experience in a professional, full-time setting in a demonstrably related field.
Competencies
Strong understanding of selfanizational and interpersonal skills.
Should be proficient in public speaking and presentations.
Should have experience leading and managing ministry teams.
Effective at building strategic working relationships.
Excellent written and verbalmunication skills.
Character
A growing Christian faith and character.
Amitment to the mission of the church.
