Minister of Music (Part-Time) Barton’s Creek Baptist Church – Lebanon, TN Reports to: Senior Pastor Overview The Minister of Music is responsible for leading and developing the music ministry of Barton’s Creek Baptist Church in a way that honors Christ and supports the overall mission of the church. This role includes planning and leading worship services, overseeing choirs and special music, and fostering spiritual growth through music. This is a part-time position focused on using God-given gifts and talents to engage the congregation and community in meaningful worship. Primary Responsibilities

• Lead and direct congregational singing in all worship services.
• Collaborate with the Pastor to plan and evaluate worship services, choosing music that aligns with the message and season.
• Oversee and schedule all music ministry participants, including choirs, soloists, and instrumentalists.
• Organize and prepare seasonal musical presentations such as Christmas and Easter cantatas.
• Recruit and involve church members in the music ministry, encouraging the use of their musical talents for God’s glory.
• Maintain the church’s music library and oversee the purchase of music materials within the church’s budget.
• Communicate and coordinate weekly with musicians, volunteers, and staff to ensure smooth and effective worship services.
• Serve as an active member of the Church, contributing to the overall vision and mission of the church. Qualifications

• Experience in church music ministry, including leading congregational worship and directing choirs.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• A heart for service, teamwork, and the spiritual development of others through worship.
