NBI provides outpatient and intensive treatment, including an internationally recognized intensive treatment program for Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Severe Anxiety, and Related Disorders. These programs are often provided in combination with NBI Ranch, our nearby residential support program. Seeking :

We are seeking a dedicated Residential Counselor to join the staff at NBI Ranch. As a Residential Counselor at NBI Ranch, you will play an integral role in enhancing the lives of residents through active participation in their activities of daily life. Your position is dynamic, hands-on, and focused on empowering individuals to achieve their personal and clinical goals. You will work closely with the NBI clinical team to ensure the safety and well-being of each resident throughout their stay. To be a successful Residential Counselor, you should have excellent emotional intelligence, judgment, and interpersonal skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist residents with their daily personal tasks and goals Supervise residents and ensuring their safety and whereabouts Provide residents with support as needed, with direction from the clinical team Transport residents using the NBI vehicle to and from NBI Ranch and NBI scheduled activities. Organize and facilitate group activities Fulfill requests made by management Daily documentation, data, and behavior tracking Monitor and assist with the basic needs of the facility to ensure cleanliness, security and safety practices are enacted and effective Assist with and monitor conflicts Escalate safety concerns promptly to the appropriate parties Collaborate with the clinical team on any resident behavioral interventions, protocols, or procedures

Required Experience and Education:

High School Diploma or GED

  • required Associate diploma or undergraduate degree
  • preferred Interest in mental health, behavioral health, psychology, or other related field
  • preferred Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) experience is a plus Must be at least 18 years old
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee is exposed to inside weather conditions, moderate noise, and vibrations.
