The Coordinator will partner with Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, Enrollment Management, and other campus partners through RLC advisory boards to maintain and improve communities. The Coordinator will work to support the academic mission of the university through establishing and maintaining departmental initiatives to support high impact programs for residential students across both residential campuses. Additionally, this position will support departmental efforts related to residential curriculum, assessment, and other residential learning initiatives within University Housing. The Coordinator will work collaboratively with the members of the Residence Education Leadership Team (RELT) and Residence Education staff to accomplish multiple assignments and tasks. This position directly supervises graduate assistants and reports to the Assistant Director of Residential Learning. Responsibilities
Support efforts to provide seamless living learning environments that enhance the achievement of classroom learning objectives for students by partnering with students, academic staff, faculty, stakeholders, and hall staff Provide support for the creation and implementation of opportunities for residents and faculty members to interact outside of the traditional classroom setting Provide support and guidance to Advisory Boards for each Residential Learning Community. Serve as a co-advisor to the board members Serve as the primary instructor for

courses, including course content development Assess RLC student retention from year to year. Provide recommendations to the Residence Education Leadership Team for initiatives to maintain or increase retention Work to assess needs, develop outcomes, develop learning opportunities, and evaluate outcomes of Residential Learning program initiatives
Support the implementation and maintenance of the academic success program for residential students within Residential Learning Communities Meet regularly with direct reports to assure shared understanding of tasks, accomplishments, concerns, and upcoming needs Serve as a member of the Residence Education Leadership Team On Call staff responsible for the welfare of 5,000+ students during assigned duty weeks Required Qualifications Educational Requirements Master’s Degree Required Experience Two (2) years of professional experience
Preferred Qualifications Preferred Educational Qualifications Master’s Degree preferred in Higher Education Student Services, Counseling or a Related Field. Preferred Experience Four (4) years of post-masters, progressive experience in a student learning initiatives, living learning communities, supervision, and collaborative strategies.
