Day Services Coach Scope:
To offer support to current clients and facilitate clients engagement in treatment.
Duties:
To be engaged in the milieu throughout the treatment day, supporting clients receiving care. To provide skills coaching for clients when needed. To ensure that clients attend scheduled groups, scheduled appointments, and helps to remind clients to complete scheduled UDS’. To help ensure that the campus is a safe and appropriate treatment environment. To locate clients needed for appointments and ensure that clients attend these appointments. To complete rounds and monitor the campus for any interpersonal challenges, program rule violations or acute psychiatric issues and either intervene or identify appropriate staff who can intervene to address the issues. To collaborate with staff from the clinical team to identify urgent issues and to help improve the services offered to clients. To review attendance sign-in sheets and contact any clients who have not signed in by 11:30am; document in Profiler reason for absence and/or attempt to contact client; relay pertinent information to PC and/or MD. Compose email daily to “clinical team” providing list of all client absences, including rationale for absence or attempt to contact client. To complete the observation checks procedure on West and Rollins campuses for clients throughout the treatment day. To assist with the transition for residential clients back to the residence at the end of the treatment day and support the residential staff with client observations and requested support. To complete all documentation in accordance with guidelines. To communicate with other clinical staff regarding any client issues that arise during interactions with current clients or alumni. To practice ethically and to comply with facility policies and accreditation standards (i.e., Joint Commission, ORS, etc.). Other duties as assigned.
Competencies:
This position should have sufficient preparedness in the following areas: Identify clients in need of additional clinical support Utilize skills coaching to de-escalate clients Complete observation checks daily according to policy Participate in continuing professional development Knowledge of CPR and First Aid Procedure Competency in skills coaching and other supportive strategies. Good Driving Record Crisis management skills Knowledge of emergency procedures for fire, disaster and unplanned incidents Demonstrates urgency, follow through, and ownership of work Communicates effectively with all stakeholders Practices ethically and professionally Knowledge and ability to enforce HIPAA standards and
