As an affiliate of Cornerstone Prep Academy in Pittsburgh, PA, EPA offers a comprehensive program catering to students in grades 9-12, including postgraduate opportunities. Responsibilities:

Provide mentorship, guidance, and support to residential students, promoting spiritual growth, academic success, and personal development. Foster a positive and inclusive residential community that reflects Christian values, encouraging mutual respect, cooperation, and accountability among students. Serve as a role model and mentor for students, demonstrating integrity, compassion, and Christ-like character in all interactions. Supervise student activities and ensure adherence to residential policies, safety protocols, and curfew regulations. Conduct regular check-ins with students to assess their well-being, address any concerns or issues, and provide emotional support as needed. Assist with the planning and implementation of residential programs, activities, and events that promote community building, spiritual formation, and personal growth. Collaborate with school administrators, faculty, and staff to address student needs, concerns, and disciplinary matters in a timely and compassionate manner. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, behavior incidents, and disciplinary actions, following school policies and procedures. Serve as a liaison between residential students, their families, and school administrators, facilitating communication and resolving conflicts when necessary. Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities to enhance job performance and stay current with residential best practices. Uphold the school’s mission, vision, and core values in all aspects of residential life and personal conduct. Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of Housing & Facilities or school administration.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree preferred, or currently enrolled in a college or university program. Previous experience working with adolescents in a residential, educational, or mentoring capacity preferred. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, faculty, and staff. Mature Christian faith and a commitment to modeling Christ-like behavior and values. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism. Flexibility, patience, and a willingness to adapt to the needs and challenges of residential life.
