As the Assistant Director of Social Services, you’ll play a pivotal role in managing the day-to-day operations of the Social Services Department. From hiring and training to supervising and evaluating staff, you’ll ensure the team delivers exceptional care and support. In this dynamic role, you’ll provide regular clinical consultation and supervision to social workers and mental health counselors, fostering professional growth and collaboration. Additionally, you may take on direct care responsibilities, making a hands-on impact on the individuals served. Key Responsibilities :

Clinical Oversight Assists with providing clinical oversight of social services to ensure quality and consistency in service delivery. Team Orientation Assists with the orientation of all newly hired team members to integrate them into the organization effectively. Supervision and Support Provides supervision and ongoing support to the social services team to enhance performance and teamwork. Direct Services May provide case management, psychosocial assessments, aftercare planning, and family services to individuals served and their families. Aftercare and Planning Supports the development and implementation of individualized aftercare plans to ensure continuity of care post-discharge.

Master’s degree in social work or mental health counseling from an accredited program.

Experience:

Prior experience in a psychiatric setting or residential treatment center.
