Responsibilities Assist in the planning and implementation of engaging activities tailored to the interests and needs of clients. Facilitate group activities that encourage participation and foster a sense of community among clients. Provide support to individuals with disabilities, ensuring their comfort and safety during activities. Communicate effectively with clients to understand their preferences and adapt activities accordingly. Manage schedules for events and activities, ensuring all necessary resources are available. Collaborate with other staff members to create a supportive environment conducive to client engagement. Document participation and feedback from clients to improve future programming. Safely operate van to transport residents to designated locations. Load and unload ambulatory and wheelchair residents, as indicated. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving. Building meaningful relationships with seniors and their families as you provide assistance with activities of daily living as well as assisting residents in life skills and other life enriching activities. Experience Previous experience in interacting and engaging residents in activities. Familiarity with Memory Care activities is beneficial for supporting dementia residents effectively. Strong caregiving skills, including patience, empathy, and the ability to assist residents in a respectful manner. Excellent communication skills to interact positively with residents, families, and team members. Ability to manage schedules efficiently while being flexible to accommodate residents needs.
