Outreach Worker 3.7 3.7 out of 5 stars Miami, FL 33142 Outreach Worker The Outreach worker will be responsible for knowing proper testing and confidentiality procedures, client risk/treatment assessment, client assistance and follow-up as needed. The Outreach Worker is responsible for ensuring HIV positive clients and those at high risk (of HIV) are linked, retained or reconnected to care.
Details of Education and Special Skills:
High school diploma from an accredited learning Institution. One to two years’ related experience and or training. Knowledge of social health issues related to HIV/AIDS and substance abuse. Knowledge of community resources is essential. Working knowledge of the needs in the LGBT community. Proficient with Microsoft windows program and Electronic Health Records (EHR). Excellent communication skills (oral & written). Must be able to work independently and in a team setting.
Special Requirements:
Current BLS certification required.
