Job Description:
Bedrock Rehabilitation and Nursing Center at Winter Park is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Social Services Assistant to join our team. This position plays a vital role in supporting the Social Services Department by helping plan, organize, and implement services that enhance the quality of life for our residents. Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the operation of the Social Services Department in compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations. Support discharge planning, care plan development, and resident assessments. Collaborate with administration, medical, and nursing staff on social services needs. Promote resident and family involvement in care plans and care plan meetings. Help ensure staff are educated on Residents’ Rights and foster resident dignity. Adhere to infection control protocols and report any occupational exposures. Participate in emergency preparedness and life safety training. Complete all required training and maintain CPR/First Aid certification.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required. At least 1 year of experience in a nursing home or similar healthcare setting. Basic computer skills. CPR and First Aid certified. Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly in English. Strong organizational, leadership, and interpersonal skills. Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations. Supportive team player with a positive attitude and patience.
